I'm currently outside the Elmgreen and Dragset curated Scandinavian Pavilion confronted by what British readers will understand as 'Barrymore's Folly' - for those not so familiar with UK tabloid news what I'm interpreting this portion of the Biennale as is a witty full stop to the Scandinavian show's statement. The Wallpaper Magazine perfect interior that has been constructed in the pavilions interior alludes to weight and pressure taste exerts on us. I've already witnessed several perma tanned and bejewelled grand dames coo at the exquisite design objects. The musak playing inside recalls the 'reveal' scene in a makeover show. It's so hip, so chic, so mortal.
